Michail in 1993 registered Mike Scorpio Export-Import Cc which became one of the leading exporters and importers in fresh cut flowers in South Africa. In 2000, Michail created Floratown Flowers & Trade (Pty.) Ltd as a BEE consortium in the agriculture and flower business. The company combined the markets and the efforts of the growers, agent and wholesalers into one major force in the flower industry.

Floratown Flowers & Trade (Pty.) Ltd. became a recognized sponsor of the Nelson Mandela’s Children Fund and according to the Guinness Book Of Records produced the biggest flower bouquet in the world in September 2001 at Sandton Fountain Court.
